Snooker Handicap Singles Final 2018

Gary Milburn v Matthew Nixon

Frame 1

The first frame started with Gary potting a good red and then going in off the black which summed the first frame up. The pink and black were soon tied up and chances were at a premium throughout the frame and there was never many points in it. Gary managed to get ahead on the last couple of reds and Matt was unable to get the snookers he required when Gary put the pink over the pocket and Matthew couldn’t keep it out.

Gary Milburn 54 v 38 Matthew Nixon

Frame 2

The second frame started with a break of 21 by Matthew which given the tightness of the first frame looked like it could be decisive but the frame became tight after that and Gary was able to pull back this deficit and going into the colours ahead it looked over but Matthew took a couple of colours to have the first chance on the decisive black but he was really unlucky when the black hung on the edge of the pocket when he managed to overcut a very thin cut along the top cushion.

Gary Milburn 66 v 55 Matthew Nixon

Congratulations to Gary on his 3rd win and first since 2012 and unlucky to Matthew who was looking for his fifth win in a row I am sure he will be back next year.
